Why I'm Not Doing Weight Loss Surgery #2

Before insurance will pay for weight loss surgery you need to have six months of doctor supervised weight loss management. When I have that type of support, I lose weight. Why have major surgery when I could just keep going and continue to lose weight? Especially now that Medicare will pay for a monthly physician visit as long as you are losing weight.

For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

  2. That was a laugh! Maybe I will give up English!

WLS is a very personal decision. I don't have that as an option as I have no health insurance and when I did it definately wasn't covered, anything to do with weight loss was excluded. I wonder if it was available to me if I would chose WLS? I am not a binge eater, but emotions play into my general overeating.

It's wonderful you are getting some help, yeah medicare!
